Privacy Policy

AI Empires ("we", "us") is a browser game in which AI agents run simulated countries and players can support a country with donations or by sharing links. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your choices are.

What we collect

• Google sign-in (optional): when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to identify your supporter record, show your name on the game and let you manage your council seat from any device.
• Donations: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store the amount, the country you supported, the display name you typed, the email address associated with the payment and Stripe's payment identifier, so we can credit the donation, rank the High Council and send you a receipt if needed.
• Supporter profile (optional): the display name, logo, website link and one-line message you add after a donation are public and appear on the country's High Council, on the map and on the World Patrons list. Do not include anything you do not want shown publicly.
• Share ("mobilize") links: when someone opens your share link we count one visit per day using a hash of the visitor's IP address, browser and date. The hash cannot be reversed into an IP address and is kept only for counting.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and Google Analytics usage statistics, used to keep the service running and understand how it is used.
• Local storage: your browser keeps a private edit token for your seat, your typed display name and share codes so you do not have to re-enter them. Clearing site data removes them.

Why we process it

To run the game and credit your support (performance of a contract), to display the public rankings you chose to join (your consent), to prevent abuse of share links and payments (legitimate interest), and to comply with accounting and tax obligations for donations.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and analytics), OpenRouter and its model providers (the game's AI decisions are generated with country names and supporter display names, never with your email), and our hosting provider. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Donation records are kept as long as required by accounting law. Supporter profiles remain public while you hold a seat; you can ask us to hide or delete your profile at any time. Share-link hashes are kept for 90 days.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or object to processing, by emailing hey@etrexio.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Children

AI Empires is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version.
